George Avery

George began his career in the autobody repair industry working as an auto body technician and painter in Southern California.

George joined State Farm Insurance working in various roles as an auto estimator, estimator trainer, auto claim representative, and management.  George moved to the State Farm Home Office in Bloomington Illinois as an auto claims instructor.  He was later promoted to management in the Learning and Development department where he was responsible for developing and delivering auto estimating curriculum for estimatics management throughout the company.

George then assumed an Auto Estimating Consultant role in the Property and Casualty Claims department providing guidance and direction on auto estimating procedures companywide.  Since 2005 George served as the State Farm spokesperson to the auto repair industry.  George speaks at both national and international industry events.  George is available to discuss repair issues with industry associations and trade groups as well as the media.  George is a past President of the National Auto Body Council (NABC) and is currently the Chairman of the Collision Industry Conference (CIC).

Jeff Hendler

Jeff Hendler has over 20 years of experience providing various services to the collision repair industry. In addition to serving as administrator to CIC since its inception, Jeff has also served as chairman of CIC; executive director of the Autobody Craftsman Association; and chairman of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) from whom he received the 1987 Industry Achievement Award. His company, J.D. Hendler / Associates, produces the "Collision Concepts" annual trade show for SCRS.

In addition to his administrative services, Jeff also criss-crosses the country throughout the year as a consultant for collision repair businesses and as a speaker and instructor at seminars, workshops, and national conventions for a multitude of worldwide industries. In 2001, the Collision Repair Specialists of Australia presented Jeff with that Association's award for "Exemplary Achievement" for the time he has spent in Australia instructing and inspiring members of the collision repair community in that country.

Also in 2001, Jeff received the PRIDE Award from the National Auto Body Council for the work he has performed in his community such as organizing charity golf tournaments.

Jeff holds degrees in Communications, English, Philosophy, and Education. He is a member of the Professional Golfer's Association of America (PGA) and a master at hosting golf clinics and golf outings.


Communications Manager Jordan Hendler

Mechanicsville, VA

Jordan Hendler has more than 10 years of experience of service in the collision industry. In addition to performing maintenance and updates to the Collision Industry Conference website, she participates in all of the CIC meetings, as well as the related industry meetings throughout the year.

Currently, Jordan also serves as the Executive Director and administrative support to the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association, producer of the renowned Hammer & Dolly magazine.
