STANDARDS COMMITTEE

1.0 Scope and Purpose

1.1 Scope -

To develop and publish nationally recognized collision industry repair standards which ensure a safe, reliable and quality collision repair.  In addition, this document will provide a basic framework for education, employee development, quality control, process management and material usage with the intent of minimizing risk and enhancing consumer confidence.

1.2 Purpose -

The purpose of this document is to clearly define and standardize collision industry practices, procedures, methods and processes.  Defining standards for the collision repair industry is essential in order to provide safe, reliable and quality collision repairs.  The existence of standards provides accessibility to critical repair information, helps reduce risk and improves business performance. This will result in improved consumer confidence in the knowledge that those operating in compliance with the standards will produce a safe, reliable, and quality repair.
