Russell D. Thrall III, a second-generation collision repairer, has been involved in the collision repair industry his entire life. Starting as a clean-up person in body shops owned and managed by his father, Thrall has experienced the industry from the bottom up. At the age of 14, Thrall began working part-time as a technician in a shop close to home. By the time he was 17, he was promoted to assistant manager. Thrall joined the staff of Chilton's Automotive Body Repair News (ABRN) in 1991 as technical editor. In 1992, he was promoted to senior editor, responsible for maintaining the content of ABRN editorial and representing at industry events nationwide. From 1993 through 2000, Thrall served as editor of Collision Repair Industry INSIGHT, a subscription-based publication with English-language circulation throughout the world. In 2000, Thrall founded CollisionWeek, a business newsletter for all segments of the global collision repair industry. CollisionWeek provides daily business news and trend research on the Internet and in weekly email, fax and print editions to subscribers around the world. Thrall continues to serve as Publisher of CollisionWeek. Also in 2000, Thrall returned to the staff of ABRN and served as Editor-in-Chief of the world’s largest monthly trade magazine until July 2004. In July 2004, Thrall joined the staff of the I-CAR Education Foundation as Technical Services Manager. In this role, Thrall is responsible for the content of Foundation products and services designed to improve pre-employment training for young technicians and attract young people to careers in the collision repair industry. Thrall is a frequent speaker at industry events including, the Collision Industry Conference (CIC), NACE, and numerous other U.S. and international events. He currently serves as chairman of the Collision Industry Conference and is the immediate Past-President of the National Auto Body Council Board of Directors. In December 2002, Thrall was inducted into the Collision Repair Industry Hall of Eagles.

Administrator Jeff
Hendler Jeff Hendler has over 20 years of experience providing various services to the collision repair industry. In addition to serving as administrator to CIC since its inception, Jeff has also served as chairman of CIC; executive director of the Autobody Craftsman Association; and chairman of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) from whom he received the 1987 Industry Achievement Award. His company, J.D. Hendler / Associates, produces the "Collision Concepts" annual trade show for SCRS. In addition to his administrative services, Jeff also
criss-crosses the country throughout the year as a consultant for collision
repair businesses and as a speaker and instructor at seminars, workshops, and
national conventions for a multitude of worldwide industries. In 2001, the
Collision Repair Specialists of Australia presented Jeff with that
Association's award for "Exemplary Achievement" for the time he has spent in
Australia instructing and inspiring members of the collision repair community
in that country. Jeff holds degrees in Communications, English, Philosophy, and Education. He is a member of the Professional Golfer's Association of America (PGA) and a master at hosting golf clinics and golf outings. |

Communications Manager Jordan Hendler Mechanicsville, VA Jordan Hendler has more than 10 years of experience of service in the collision industry. In addition to performing maintenance and updates to the Collision Industry Conference website, she participates in all of the CIC meetings, as well as the related industry meetings throughout the year. Currently, Jordan also serves as the Executive Director and administrative support to the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association, producer of the renowned Hammer & Dolly magazine.
