Date of Request:
March 2000 to Mitchell and Motor; October 2000 to ADP Date Posted: April 27, 2001 Updated: July 16, 2001 (Motor response has been updated or
clarified from previous entry.)
CIC
Reference No. 110 Data
Providers: Mitchell International, ADP Claims Solutions Group, Motor
Information Services/CCC Information Systems Original Time Allowance: 7.0 Original Labor Note: Section as indicated in
graphics offered Issue:
- Procedure information from Manufacturer is vague and
inaccurate. There are three different levels of information available for this
operation and none of them offer precise information.
- Labor foot note inaccurate. The rocker must be removed to
access the area where the Quarter and Rocker join. To properly replace the
quarter it also requires the rocker to be replaced in conjunction with the
quarter, even though it may not be damaged
Response:
- Motor/CCC Footnote: "After Rocker
is Removed" has been added to the "Quarter" & "Section Quarter"
group.
- ADP Labor operation takes into consideration the rocker
panel removed. No changes are warranted
- Mitchell Has performed a time study and adjusted the
rocker panel replacement allowance to reflect the need to remove the quarter
panel.
Results/Change MitchellAllows 7.0
hours to section the quarter and 7.0 hours for the rocker panel. This procedure
is now a 14.0-hour operation. Although, the 14.0 hours may not be realistic in
most real world working environments, it is an improvement from what was
originally offered.
