Issue:
1. There is a difference between the left and right side door hinge access. On the driver side (left) the hand brake mechanism and wire harness impede access to the inner bolt.
2. MOTOR has not acknowledged the dash removal requirement for the upper hinge.
Suggestion:To all providers, please review the operation:
1. Show the time difference between left and right doors.
2. Motor should consider expanding their labor note to show the instrument panel must be removed to access the upper hinge inner bolt.

only be accessed from inside the vehicle. (A)

instrument panel, parking brake pedal assy (left side) &
heater assy (right side) have been removed, which is necessary
to gain access. The following labor time & notation to be
applied, R&R

Labor allowance for "lower hinge" includes R&R
cowl trim panel. The following labor time & notation
applies, R&R
Lower Hinge... #.4 #
w/Door Removed , Includes R&R Cowl Trim Panel (2)
2001-02, all bolts can be accessed from outside the vehicle
with door removed. The following labor time & notation to
be applied, R&R

MOTOR has applied a footnote to the upper hinge to indicate time is after instrument panel has been removed. There was also a footnote applied to the lower hinge "Time is after cowl trim panel has been removed. The changes will appear in the September Chrysler Crash Guide. |
