Inquiry (as suggested by inquirer)

            Mitchell (radiator): Labor note does not mention the difference in time allowance for                                vehicles equipped with air conditioning. There is an AC fan to contend with and also the AC 

            condenser must be partially separated to remove radiator.

            Motor (grille) Insufficient time allowance, please include labor note stating “with bumper 

                  removed.”

            Motor (radiator) Labor note does not mention the difference in time allowance for vehicles equipped

Please review these operations.

 

Response:
ADP: We will add blade, fan/motor (.2hrs) to the replacement of the Radiator which will increase the total replacement time to 2.5hrs, 2.7hrs w/AT . We will also be adding A/C fan, motor and shroud (.8hrs) when the A/C option is selected for a total replacement time of 3.1hrs, 3.3hrs w/AT. This change will be made available on the February 2004 CD

 

Mitchell: When performing a radiator support complete R&R, there is an additional time allowed for the radiator for vehicles with A/C.  This is found in the "headnote" section above the illustration with the refinish times.  The allowance states, add to R&R radiator support with A/C, 0.4hrs.  When performing a radiator R&R stand-alone, the additional time allowance is located with the part as well.

Motor Information System 10/8/2004 - (ARG4440) Added footnote to grille, “Time is after front bumper is removed.”Changed labor time on radiator to 0.7 hours for manual trans and 0.9 hours for  auto trans with footnote, “Time is after front bumper is removed.” and “Time includes R&I cooling fan assembly/shroud.” Added Add if Required operation, R&R radiator , add for AC option 0.2 hours with footnote, “Time is for R&I condenser fan assembly/shroud.”
