Inquiry
(as stated by inquirer) We
have a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban in the shop with a tailgate.
Pathways CCC
gives .8 hrs to R&I the tailgate. Pathways also has no labor
notes on
this operation. We
found that the time should be 2.1 hrs for this operation. The
steps need to R&I the tailgate on the 1999 Chevrolet Suburban which
take two persons to remove are: ·
Disconnect wiring
·
R&I Torsion bar and rods
·
R&I RT & LT Hinge pins
·
R&I RT and LT Check straps not listed in data base Additional
time would be needed for hardware on body if quarter panel needed
replacement. I
would suggest an adjustment on the labor time or labor notes identifying
the additional labor needed. Suggestion
To All: Please review this operation
Response:
Mitchell: Further clarification has been provided in a labor notation. The labor note now reads, "w/rear bumper assy removed, includes R&I/R&R torque rod." As well, the wiring harness in referenced in the headnote additional time option as "Add to R&I/R&R rear gate assy, wiring harness 0.5hrs." MOTOR 10/8/2004 (DR1GA92) Applied footnote “Time is after bumper assembly is removed” to R&I lift gate assembly, Gate R&R and torque rod. Added check straps part# 15966613. |
