Inquiry (as stated by inquirer)

99 Chrysler 300M

R&I Front splash shield under fender

 Motor issues .3 for operation

Need to R&I

wheel, rotor, caliper, bleed brakes, tie rods, upper control, shock and spring to access.

Suggestion:

¨       Motor: Please review operation and labor note.

¨       Mitchell: Please review operation and labor note.

¨       ADP: Please review operation.

Response:

Mitchell:  The current published labor note is clear to the estimator by stating “w/Strut Assy Removed.”  The front suspension headnotes list R&I Strut Assy at 1.1hrs.  Strut Assy R&I includes disconnect and connect of ball joint and R&I wheel.  Per Chrysler service procedures, the caliper is suspended and there is no need to bleed brake system.

MOTOR: 4/1/05 Updated the footnote on the front fender liner to indicate that the strut and knuckle are to be removed in order to gain access to the fender liner.
