Inquiry (as stated by inquirer)

We have a 2003 Chevrolet K1500 Extended cab in the shop. We noticed a couple issues with the database.

 

To replace the RT Fender you must R&I the following items to remove the fender. There are no labor notes in the fender section. These steps are after we had already removed the Frt. lamps, grille, top panel and frt. bumper.

 

R&I Engine air cleaner                                                                                                   .05 hrs

R&I Engine air cleaner brace after box is removed                                              .03 hrs

R&I Coolant reservoir                                                                                        .04 hrs

R&I Hood hinges attached to fender (both hinges)                                                           .06 hrs  

R&I Bracing from RT side of the cowl                                                                .03 hrs

    

Total additional time needed to gain access to fender                                           2.1hrs

MOTOR: DR1GH99: Updated front bumper overhaul time to 1.9 hours with footnote “Time includes R&I grille.”

 

Mitchell: 04/30/04:

Upon review of the necessary required procedures per OE recommendations and outside field inspection, the existing labor allowance has been adjusted to 2.2 hours.
